Flare Developer - Mark Lewis

Currently I am working on my Ph.D. in astrophysics and planetary science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My particular research is in the area of gravitational wakes in rings. What I specilize in though is writing optimized code for doing large simulations. My simulations of ring wakes run on a single processor DEC Alpha machine, yet involve up to 250,000 particles.

As part of Flare, I specialize in adding interactivity to web pages through the use of Java and JavaScript. To give you an example of the variety of things that you can accomplish with Java on a web page you can use the example applet below to navigate to a number of other applets that I have written.
